Online Giving
If you would like to make your offering or tithe online, please click on the links below and follow the prompts. This is an automatic debit process in which you can make a one time or recurring offering or tithe from your bank account. You are also welcome to mail your check to the Emmanuel church office. If you mail us a check, please make it payable to "Emmanuel Presbyterian Church," indicate the fund you want your donation credited to, and mail it to the attention of Jennifer McGahey, Treasurer or incoming Treasurer, Beth Aiken. Of course, if you prefer to bring your check on Sundays for the weekly offering as part of worship, that's perfectly welcome. If you have more specific questions regarding these or other funds, you may contact Jennifer McGahey/Beth Aiken.
Giving is not merely a means to support the ministries of Emmanuel. Instead, it is first and foremost an act of worship, i.e. an offering that expresses our trust that God owns everything and has given us our lives, gifts, and resources. And thus in the Bible, offerings are always connected with worship. While online giving can still express this trust, it can also feel detached from worship, particularly when done regularly. Thus, the elders of Emmanuel encourage those who give online to still participate in the weekly offering by putting something in the basket--a dollar, a quarter, or even a blank Keeping Connected card--as representative of the rest. And remember: the "rest" is not merely our tithe but all we are and all we have.
