Forty Days of Prayer: Virtuous in Speech and Action
“Be doers of the word, and not just hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:22). Motivated by our affections, our faith should permeate all aspects of our thoughts and actions such that our lives increasingly are characterized by being (1) prayer-filled, (2) virtuous, (3) spirit-empowered, (4) compassionate, and (5) word-centered.Thursday, April 26: Virtuous in Speech and Action. I pray that first I, and then all of Emmanuel, will increasingly speak and act in a way that pleases God.
