Carlos Dourado

Elder

Carlos and his wife, Pam became members of Emmanuel in early 2015, following their move to Northern Virginia when Carlos retired after a long career as a pharmaceutical executive. His career took them to live in five different countries and eight different cities. Now during retirement, Carlos does translations (English to Portuguese) for The Gospel Coalition and is a board member of Sanctity of Life Ministries. Pam holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Seminary, works as a Life Coach and serves as a volunteer counselor for Hope NOVA, a crisis pregnancy center. They enjoy the privilege of co-leading a Community Group at Emmanuel and have a passion for seeing believers “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Favorite pastimes are fishing, traveling, watching soccer, reading and going for long walks. Carlos and Pam have two married sons and four grandchildren.
